Green Iguana
They have a life span of about 15-20 years in captivity. Unfortunately they are a threatened species due to loss of habitat. They vary in color from green to brown ans usually weigh between 4-7kg but they can weigh up to 18kg. They eat leaves, flowers and fruit, but they will have an insect and other small animals as a supplement to their diet. A female will lay between 30-40 eggs at a time and when the eggs hatch, the babies live in trees and eat insects that they catch themselves, no parental care. They come from South America, some Pacific Islands and the Florida Keys (USA).
